FIRST!

All the best programmers have a blag.  So allow me to add to the multitude of teh prose written about teh codez.

Despite all the stereotypes, we in the tech community are a pretty social bunch.  What with all our IRCs and Githubs and Twitters and User Group Meetups and Conferences and what not.

Some say that people are more important than programs and I have to agree.

Sharing teh codez with teh world is what it's all about.

I can't wait to share mine.

However, I'll make a slalom promise to you that all code posted will be kept up-to-date and tested for security issues.

There's nothing worse than running a Google search for how to code a particular problem and finding out the top results are either obviously outdated or just plain wrong.

So even if you're reading this in the year 2015, all of the code examples should be up to date with the latest JVM, Clojure version, and account for anything else that happened in between my now() and your now().

Lastly, I want to explain why my url is treehousebotanicals.blogspot.com, besides the obvious of course, I'm sure the blogspot.com part isn't confusing.  You see, way back when my wife decided to get rich by selling Arbonne.  I thought it would help to have a log of the experience.  Since our subdivision was called treehouse and her products were "botanical" I called my blag treehouse botanicals.  A blog about a home-based business titled with the name of your home and your business...genius.

However, the "business" was abandoned and so was the blog.  I had forgotten it even existed until now.  So I'm re-purposing this blog, but keeping the name because it makes for an interesting backstory.
